Function EndDocument


This functions allows the selection of the print output destination.


EndDocument (vOutput As OutputType, vPaperBin As PaperBinType) As Boolean

Parameter        Description            
  • vOutput Output destination
  • vPaperBinPaper Output printer output
    The vOutput parameter can contain the following values:
    Constant           Value  Description                                              
  • prOTPrinter 0 Output is sent directly to the printer without a preview
  • prOTScreen 1 Output is previewed on screen
  • prOTStructured 2 Output is saved as a structured file
  • prOTTextFile 3 Output is saved as a text file
  • prOTRTFFile 4 Output is saved as a Rich Text file
  • prOTHTMLFile 5 Output is saved as a HTML file
  • prOTPrinterDialog 6 Output is sent directly to printer preceded by printer dialog
  • prOTDefault 7 Depends on system
    The range of values that vPaperBin can take.

  • vbPRBNUpper 1 Use paper from upper bin
  • vbPRBNLower 2 Use paper from lower bin
  • vbPRBNMiddle 3 Use paper from middle bin
  • vbPRBNManual 4 Wait for manual insertion of paper
  • vbPRBNAuto 7 Use paper from current default bin
  • vbPRBNDefault 8 Use paper from current default bin

    This method is called once all the data for a document has been previewed. The method will either create a Preview window, save the information as a file or send it directly to a printer, depending on the value of vOutput.

    It is for the convenience of the application that both vOutput and vPaperBin may either be set separately or as part of the EndDocment method call.

    If the output is to a file then the OutputFile property must be set first.

    After the completion of the preview operation, the document is deleted and a new document created, with zero margins and no header or footer.


    To preview output on screen:

    Preview.EndDocument prOTScreen
