Method DrawArrow

This method draws an arrow element in the current frame.

DrawArrow (eStart As eArrowType, vSizeStart As Variant, eEnd As eArrowType, vSizeEnd As Variant, vX1 As Variant, vY1 As Variant, vX2 As Variant, vY2 As Variant) As String

Parameter Description
  • eStart Type of arrow at start
  • vSizeStart Size parameter for start arrow
  • eEnd Type of arrow at end
  • vSizeEnd Size parameter for end arrow
  • vX1 Horizontal position of line start
  • vY1 Vertical position of line start
  • vX2 Horizontal position of line end
  • vY2 Vertical position of line end
The eStart and eEnd parameters can contain the following values:

    Constant Value
  • prARSharp 1
  • prARAngle 2

This method draws an arrow element in the current frame. When the arrow is drawn, the values of the current style are used to determine line width, color and fill.

The vSizeStart, vSizeEnd, vX1, vY1, vX2 and vY2 parameters may either be numbers, which are taken to be values in twips, or a string. If a parameter is specified as a string then it is converted to twips using the C_Twips function.

After the completion of the method the values of CurrentX and CurrentY are set to the end point of the line.

    To draw an arrow:

    Preview.DrawArrow prARAngle,"10 pt",prARSharp, "10 pt","2.0 in", "3.0 in", "2.0 in","5.0 in"
