If i generate PDF docment on a Windows XP professional the results is a PDF damaged. On all Windows XP there is this problem but on windows 95, 98, 2000 it's all ok.

I attach the windows 2000 and xp version export

This is the code

set anteprima = new PrintPreview5.Preview
Anteprima.AddTextAt "dkjfdkjfkd"
Anteprima.EndDocument prOTScreen

I opened the two document with notepad. The difference is at the line 32 (line number are not in pdf):

WINDOWS 2000 PDF
32 /Filter /FlateDecode
33 >>
34 stream

35 xs
36 2PHw3T04300PI2 Hd cc= \^.4NTr վ
37 endstream
38 endobj

39 8 0 obj

WINDOWS XP PROFESIONAL
32 /Filter /FlateDecode
33 >>
34 stream
35 8 0 obj

(i have sent you the generate pdf by email)

Vincenzo, I did several tests, and I can't reproduce the problem. The PDF generated is good for me.
I have send you a new DLL that will log a potential error in the PDF, could you try it?

NB : Maybe it is something on your os?

Hello Thierry,
I and some of my customers are also having the same PDF error.

Acrobat reports a corrupt file.

My home Tablet PC (my development machine) with XP SP2 works fine,
my home Windows 2000 PC works fine,
my work friend with Windows XP PC at the office works fine,
But my Windows XP PC at the office doesn't work.

I don't know why some do and some don't?

If I create a good PDF it works on all PCs.
If I create a bad PDF at the office it doesn't read on any.

The problem is with the creation not the reading. If its created bad nothing will read it even a PC that creates them OK. So the problem is defiantly with how its created.

Maybe a file version conflict?

I also tried all PCs with acrobat reader v5, v5.1 and v6.0.1 all with the same results.

Please help......

Hope your move went well.....

Could you check the file version of the ZLib.dll ?
This DLL is used for some conversion within the PDF.

About the forum, it will be down today, as I move the server, and the mail server is down since a few days :(

Hello Thierry,
I copied the latest zlib.dll (v1.1.4) in my application directory and its a little better.

Now when I open an PDF I get

"Could not find the xobject named 'im1'"

Then the text shows but no pictures?????

I have also copied the zlib.dll from a working PC to my PC and deleted all other copies on my machine, but I still have the same "Could not find the xobject named 'im1'" error.

Any other files I need to check?

OK more news...

I download your software again, installed it and test my program and all worked fine from my application.

I made a copy of the working preview5.dll, uninstalled your software.

Copyied the preview5.dll into my apps directry and, re-registered it. Then tested my program again and it didnt work.

I check all the files you need and there versions but nothing seems to change.

What is being installed and unistalled that might be effecting my PC?

ijl11.dll was missing from my install and giving the graphics errors.

So I going to make sure that the latest zlib.dll and ijl11.dll is in my install and im going to try again....

Hope this info helps others..
