When I try to import a BMP or JPG (I've used both drawpicture and drawpicturememory), it looks great on the preview and when printed to a printer. But when I send it to a PDF file, the image quality is TERRIBLE.

Is there a way to adjust the graphics quality to an output PDF?

Thanks,
Bill

Reading that message again, it sounds pretty harsh...sorry about that. I do think this is a GREAT preview, and plan on buying it. But I also will need a good graphic quality in the output PDF.

Thanks,
Bill

Hello Thierry,
I have recently started to use the export to jpg and BMP and the preview looks good but the exported files look really bad.

The text is perfect but the image is not good.

Is there any way to imporve the quality output of the graphics?

I have uploaded the JPG to http://www.scheduleit.co.uk/test.jpg so you can copy to your PC to view. The BMP is exactly the same.

What files are used to compress the images? Can I update them?

In fact, I recompress all pictures to JPG with a compression of 90.
Maybe it is a bit too much, I will check decrease the compression

90% is good for size but not quality for me as the images often contain text. Is there something I can change? Or do I need a newer version.
Could this parameter be something that is user defined?

Thanks for your quick reply.

This sounds like great news to me! 90% is too high for my clients' logo graphics, too. I'd rather have very low compression and bigger files that are great quality...although a user-definable compression would be ideal.

I'd like to test the dll too, if you don't mind!

Thanks,
Bill

I tested the new dll. The compression seems to have gone up instead of down - the image quality decreased, as did the pdf file size. Hopefully I'm just missing something that I need to set differently.

Hello Thierry,
The file size has gone from 828kb the 278kb. Is this correct? How?
